"Tap Him Like A Typewriter!"
Master every stage of submission fighting. Dominate on the feet and on the ground.
Dear Friend,
If you're interested in becoming a "lethal catch wrestling weapon" - someone who can pound the living crap out of grapplers who think they know submission holds better than anyone else, then I have great news for you. You can turn their big ego around lightning fast. Let me give you an example by telling you the following story.
In December of 1999, I was at a prominent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school on the east coast. I was there giving private lessons for a few days, followed by a full-blown butt-kicking seminar on catch wrestling.
A few hours after my flight touched down, in order to loosen up, I went to a secluded room in the school, where I could workout alone. I did a series of bodyweight calisthenics, then I changed back into my jeans and sweat shirt.
As I prepared to leave, I had to walk across the mat where a class was in session. When I was almost through the room, one of the instructors, a purple belt, gave me a look. I thought nothing of it and wasn't looking for trouble. He came closer. I figured he was just coming over to introduce himself. Somehow he got a hold of my sweatshirt and instinctively grabbed his gi and we started grappling.

The King of Catch Wrestling - Matt Furey featured in the May 2002 issue of Grappling magazine, reveals lost secrets of Farmer Burns.
|
We hit the ground and I double-wrist locked him immediately - a move that is a trademark of all the great catch wrestlers. He tapped immediately. I let go of the hold, he squirmed and I caught him in a cross body toehold. He tapped again. I released the hold, he squirmed some more and I neck cranked him. Catch wrestling was whooping his butt - and he hated it.
Meanwhile, the students in the class had all taken a seat against the wall and were looking on in awe.
They had to be thinking ...
How can this catch wrestler-guy be tapping out our man?
Catch Wrestlers aren't supposed to know submissions better than us?
And what kind of submissions is he using?
We've never seen these before.
Later that evening the teacher at the school told his wife that I was "tapping one of his top students like a typewriter."
Now, I am not writing this to tell you that I am the greatest or even to brag. Additionally, I am not telling this story to put down Jiu-Jitsu, the instructor, the school or anything of the sort.
The main point of this story is to point out that the guy I worked out with had incomplete skills. Yes, he did have a purple belt. Yes, he could handle bigger, stronger people who weren1t as skilled as he was on the mat.
But he did not have very good chances when ...
- He couldn't take me down.
- He couldn't stop me from taking him down.
- He couldn't make it hard for me to take him down.
- He couldn't get the top position on me.
- He couldn't submit me from underneath.
- He didn't know how to defend my submissions.
- He didn't know what my submissions were and/or how I set them up.
In a nutshell, although this guy was a decent grappler, he only knew part of the puzzle. Imagine how much better he would be ... how much harder a time I would have had with him if he was just as strong in only one more of the seven areas I listed.
But the story doesn't end with this purple belt. A few days later, when the seminar was nearly over, I had matches with seven straight people, from middleweight through super-heavyweight, and I tapped all of them out with ease - even though I was injured. This is all on film and easy to verify and eventually look for some clips right here on this website.
Why am I telling you this? The answer is simple: Some people don't like the fact that I've come out with this course. To say they're pissed off would be putting it mildly. And to show their disdain, they have gone online and posted numerous lies, distortions and untruths about me. One such person, who didn't even attend the event, went so far as to claim that all I did was "take their money and tell training stories" in exchange.
Yet, the truth is that I gave a four-hour seminar, which was taped. In this seminar, I taught more useful information, conditioning as well as catch wrestling, than you'll get in anyone else's seminar or on anyone else's videos. Did the group in attendance enjoy themselves? Well, what do you call it when you see a group of people laughing, smiling, paying attention and making comments like, "That one move right there was worth the whole price for this seminar." ONE MOVE!
So I don't take to kindly to these lies and I'm responding in turn, in my own way. Multi-media. You be the judge.

Now, I realize that these people aren't going to be too happy when they read this ... or when they find out that the video clips have been released. They'll come out blazing, calling me every name in the book, and then some. But the truth is the truth and if some people can't handle it and don't want to face it. Too bad.
Because the fact of the matter is this: IF ANYONE in that friggin school had tapped me out (no one did), it would have been the talk of the town from that day onward. Yes, I've been tapped before. Everyone has. But not that week and not in that school.
And this brings me to a very important point: A lot of people have this, "How does your art compare to our art?" attitude. Listen, I've proven my art over and over at seminars and with challenges at my school. I've whooped the living daylights out of some very good people. Whether I can beat EVERYONE in the world is not the question you should be asking yourself. The question should be: IF this guy can beat so many people with his style, then why not at least take a look at what he's doing?
This is what smart people will do. Idiots would rather claim that they KNOW, that they already have all the answers. They would rather get pissed off and turn a deaf ear and blind eye than take a serious look. The critics remind me of the Albert Einstein story. Early on his career, a reporter said to him, "Do you realize that 100 doctors got together and put out a book de-bunking your theories." Einstein just smiled and said, "If I was wrong, one doctor would have been enough."
Imagination is the Elixir of Life
Now let's move on to YOU.
Right now, take a moment and imagine what life would be like when you've mastered every phase of the grappling game. You're tough on your feet. You have solid takedowns and throws. And a great defense.
You're good on the ground. You can escape or reverse holds with ease. And you have an ever-ready arsenal of devastating submission holds that most people haven't been exposed to yet.
Do you think this would give you an advantage? Of course it would. The hardest move to defeat is the hold you don't know.
Let's take a situation and examine it in a bit of detail, so you see my point: You're working out with or competing with someone who turtles up when you get his back. You try to put your "hooks" in and choke him out. But he's not buying it. You can't get him to open up. You end up losing.
This common scenario could have easily been prevented if you had other options; especially those options that your opponent isn't prepared for and can't defend against. You could have gone into any number of toe holds when he turtled. You could have wrist locked him, hammerlocked him, face locked him and so on. None of these would require the "hooks." But you didn't know a single one of these holds and because of that, you lost.
Or let's say you're up against someone who has lousy takedown skills. You get him to the ground without a problem but he wraps you up in "the guard." If it were a takedown contest, you'd win everytime, but when you're in this position on the ground, you're lost. Or just frustrated.
Imagine how great life will be if you knew how to quickly and easily bust through that guard and immediately get into position for any number of submissions, none of which require you to "pass the guard," achieve "side-mount" or get to the "mount." Wouldn't it be great if you could put your opponents in pain from many different positions? Wouldn't it be great if you could make the guard the most horrible position imaginable for the guy using it?
No doubt about that one.
One final scenario: Imagine that you just got taken down by a bigger, stronger opponent. What if you could gain the advantage and tap him out without using any of the traditional positions that "everyone else knows" (and can defend)? What if you knew several lightning fast ways to off-balance your Goliath and whoop his butt without exerting a ton of energy?
Not only would this be great - but there is information on how to do all of the above and a whole lot more. I have the information ... and I'm making it available for a limited time and to a limited number of people, then I'm closing the door.
Read on, please, because you're about to learn about the greatest video tape series ever produced on the subject of conditioning and submission fighting. Whether you are a collegiate, freestyle or Greco-Roman wrestler ... whether you are a practitioner of judo, jiu-jitsu or Sambo, this new course will open your eyes to possibilities that you never thought of before. It can literally change the course of your abilities, and do so within days.
What's Old is New - What's New is Old
Many people have the mistaken notion that wrestling is only a takedown or pinning game. That it doesn't have submissions.
In the early 1900's, this wasn't the case. The old-time pros of that era were fundamentally sound on the feet and on the mat. They could throw you. They could pin you. And ...
they could submit you.
How do I know? Because, in addition to being coached by Olympic
champions Dan Gable and Bruce Baumgartner; in addition to winning a World
Shuai-chiao Kung Fu title under the tutelage of Dr. Daniel Weng; I have spent more
than two years learning under the legendary Karl Gotch.
Although I had been studying the submission aspect of wrestling since
1996, and have now been wrestling for 30 years, it wasn't until I met Karl
Gotch that I really started learning the submissions the way they are done in
catch wrestling. Let me just say right now, they're not the same as
anything you've ever learned. And knowing the difference between other ways and
the catch wrestling way helped me improve so fast it was staggering.
With Karl's help, and within two years time, I went from being nothing
but a national champion "college wrestler" and Shuai-chiao world champion
that was "really good on his feet" - to someone that top grapplers, even at the
world level, sit back and watch. When I would give a seminar, guys who really
thought they knew submissions, and thought that ALL I could really
teach them were takedowns and throws .... well, imagine how gratifying it was
when I saw them sitting back and taking notes on the submissions I teach.
Yes, I started learning submissions in 1996, but everything I had
learned before meeting Karl Gotch paled in comparison.
Where did Karl learn? He learned in the famous Billy Riley Gym in
Wigan, England, where much of catch-as-catch-can wrestling was taught before
it became a lost art.
Karl was a 14-time national champion (winning seven titles a piece in
Greco-Roman and freestyle) in his native Belgium. Then in 1950, he
turned pro and learned the submission style of wrestling that, for all intents
and purposes, has become a lost treasure-trove of secrets that any smart
and serious grappler or fighter should be sure to get his hands on.
I was fortunate. In fact, I was the luckiest guy in the world, because,
due to my extensive background, Karl took a liking to me and began teaching
me everything he knew. He taught me his famous conditioning methods, which
are highlighted in my book and videos entitled, Combat Conditioning. And he
taught me the old-style of catch wrestling.
|
He taught me how learned the art. How learned to throw. How learned to pin. How he learned to submit people. And how just plain learned how to pulverize people without people being able to detect what he had done.
A lot of what Karl taught me can be found in the Farmer Burns' 1914 by-mail home study course entitled, Lessons In Wrestling & Physical Culture. But, Karl also taught me much, much more than you'll find in the old-time course.
From the time I began learning from him my overall grappling skills exploded and so has my ability to break down and teach what I've learned.
This is one of the reasons why I have decided to do a DVD version of the Farmer Burns' course. The other reason is because, even though the Burns' course is a classic and a collector's item - Burns only showed you the finished position of his takedowns, throws, submissions and pins. In most cases, he never showed you how to set the holds up. And he never showed you the transitions that led to the finish.
On the final page of his legendary 1914 mail order course, Lessons In Wrestling & Physical Culture, Burns wrote about going into more detail with his course. He planned on taking "moving pictures" and putting them into a photo sequence, giving his readers greater knowledge on exactly how to do the moves he shows in the course.
Burns estimated that the cost (to his customers) of such an undertaking could run as high as $75. Now, imagine how much money that was waaaaay back in 1914. We're talking a lot of cash. To be precise, in the year 2000, it would be $1,260.34 The course itself sold for $35 when it first came out (I mistakenly used to say it was $11 in previous articles, but found the catalog where he promotes it). So, even that was far from cheap. In fact, based on inflation, in the year 2000, the same $35 would be $588.16. In case you think I've dreamt up these figures, check for yourself at westegg.com/inflation.
Burns' inability to expand upon his course of instruction left a big void in ,the information legacy of catch wrestling. Filling in for Burns is not something just anyone can do. After all, Burns was the teacher of Frank Gotch and a number of other champion wrestlers. Considered to be a world champion in his own right, Burns taught wrestling all over the country.
And so, you can readily see that what I am doing, is quite an undertaking - but if I don't do it, it will never get done. And if I don't do it, all of Burns' wisdom is going to be lost forever.
Formulating my decision to go ahead became much easier, though, when I visited America's foremost wrestling historian, Mike Chapman. After teaching Mike (a former national judo champion at 198 pounds) all I could in the two hours we spent together, he was so blown away that he told me the following:
"No one that I know of personally as studied the nature of 'true wrestling' like you have. No one knows more about catch wrestling than you do. No one!!! You are a modern-day Farmer Burns."
|
Matt Furey with Bob Burns, 79 (grandson of Farmer Burns)
|
Coming from Mike, this means a lot. After all, he has written nine books on wrestling and was voted national wrestling writer of the year four different times. Two of his books are about Frank Gotch, America's only world champion wrestler from the real era of pro wrestling. Most importantly, Mike is the executive director of the International Wrestling Institute and Museum in Newton, Iowa, that houses a professional wrestling Hall of Fame. And just this year, he inducted Martin "Farmer" Burns into the hall.

The bottom line is this...
No matter what style of wrestling or grappling you've studied, these DVD's are going to make you a helluva lot better. Not only will you be amazed at your new found skills, but so will everyone else.
The DVD's are structured just like the book, in 12 easy-to-follow lessons. You'll get all 12 DVD's at once, but I encourage you to work with the first two DVD's for four to six weeks, before you move on to the next lessons.
In six to nine months time, you can be done with the whole course and then, by that time, you'll be the next bonafide butt-kicker people whisper about when they see you walking the streets.
Again, I'll be showing you the details, the setups and the variations that Burns never went into. I'll also sneak in additional material that I learned from Karl Gotch. Priceless material to say the least.

- Live sparring action where you see the Farmer Burns heel-hook toehold and double-wrist lock applied against a top notch grappler

In Lessons 9, 10, 11 and 12, I will go into even greater detail.
More toeholds. More wristlocks. More neck cranks. And more devastating takedowns, throws and counters. Everything you learn in this course will help you frustrate the living hell out of your opponents. They won't know which way is up and why you're always putting a brutal beating on them.
You'll also learn more takedowns, throws, reversals, submissions as well as setups and combinations. Each lesson builds on the previous ones and they just keep getting better and better. You'll also learn precisely how to use these skills in a self-defense situation - as well as some nasty, brutal and dirty grappling secrets that Farmer Burns and Karl Gotch used.
And now for my special offer
All along I have been very reluctant to divulge the catch wrestling secrets Karl Gotch has taught me, not to mention what I discovered from Farmer Burns by putting in hours and hours on the mat practicing what he teaches. That's why this video course is only going to be offered at the current price for a limited time.
The price has already gone up once and as more and more proud owners of the series send me testimonials about how effective the training has been for them and for their students, demand for the series goes up. Naturally, this will cause the price of the course to eventually rise once again.
But the truth is that I don't want just anyone to have this home-study course. Some people have offered me money for the course and I have flat-out refused to sell it to them because I don't like them or what they stand for.
Right now I only plan on selling another 100 sets of the course at the current price of $597 (payment plans also available). After that I will probably move it to $997 or more.
Why would I do that? Because the information on these tapes is priceless and for purely selfish reasons, I don't want it made available to anyone and everyone. That's also the reason why this course isn't cheap. If what I have to offer is truly great, then there is no way I can justify "giving it away" for Honda prices. What I'm teaching is THE ROLLS ROYCE OF SUBMISSION FIGHTING. PERIOD! You can get a Honda anywhere - but for a Rolls, you gotta pay a lot more and drive quite a while just to find a dealership. If what I had to offer were common, if everyone else out there knew it, then it would be priced accordingly. But RARE TREASURE AIN'T CHEAP.
So hear this: After another 100 people have ordered their course, then the price will go up again (and eventually, I will simply decide to stop selling it altogether, as I have done with other products).
I know that some of you will think the asking price is too much, that you can't afford it. And that is fine. Believe me, I'm not going to lose sleep if you don't buy.
Because the truth of the matter is that this course is not supposed to be for everybody. It is only for the real players who want to kick-ass and take-names the old-fashioned way. If you don't really deep down in your gut want to be a butt-kicker, then $50 is too much for you to invest. The course will never get used anyway and I only want people who will use it to have it. If you're too lazy, unmotivated and uninspired to do so, then it's not even worth my time to take your money and send it to you. I make no apologies about this.
Believe me, if you don't act now, someone else WILL come along and get the set that could be yours - and this person has the same dreams, goals and ambitions as you do. Thing is, he's smart enough to take action to make them a reality. I sincerely hope you're that type of person, too. But if you're not, I'm not losing sleep over it because I know someone else will call or email or FAX their order to me very soon. If it's not you - it's someone else.

Now, just so you know, if you're someone of questionable character - or one of those people I don't care for, you can send in your payment details, but don't be overly disappointed if I reject your application. It can and does happen.
For those of you who DO WANT to become superb grappling masters, well, let me just say, $597 (payment plans also available) is a mere pittance compared to the wealth of information you will receive and how dramatically it can improve your life and, moreover, if you're a teacher, imagine what it can do for your students (be sure to read the testimonial from William Cameron to see what I'm talking about).
Also - because of the amazing future you will create for yourself because of this avalanche of incredible heavy-duty information - you're going to have skills that are rare indeed. Imagine walking down the street in your home town or city, and people all around KNOW that YOU are the toughest guy to come down the pike in a long, long time. Let me tell you, KNOWING that you are a tough, rugged, animalistic human being makes you feel GREAT in every cell of your body. And you can have this feeling, too.
Remember: The rock-solid hard-hitting information on these DVD's is not only scarce, but it will be lost forever if there aren't smart investors like YOU who recognize a tremendous opportunity when you see one.
And .... for your added benefit, and for mine, and for purely selfish reasons, the price is set higher than my other tapes because I don't want everyone in the world to have access to this information. Once you see the material in detail, you'll have the same feeling and know why. Maybe you already have that feeling.
So take action today. Order "Farmer Burns Catch Wrestling DVD Course" right now. Only $597 plus S&H.

Praise for the Farmer Burns Catch Wrestling DVD Course:
"Matt, I just tried out your Frank Gotch toe hold in my jiu-jitsu class. My 23-year old, 225 pound purple belt training partner, tapped six times in less than twenty minutes. I am 49 years old and weigh 165 pounds. Normally, I can catch this guy once every 20 minutes. And with no gi, I'm lucky to get him at all. Six times today without the gi!!! We both were in AWE on how well the techniques on your tapes work. Now I have to go to you to learn the lesson on how to defend so no one can do it to me. I've never done this well before. Now I'm scared to death of my own hold that I learned from you. Also, you were right about the pressure point on the legs. It never worked before because it wasn't on the right spot. Today, everyone I wrestled, their legs couldn't fly open fast enough."

"Matt I just wanted to let you know that tapes 1 and 2 of the Farmer Burns series were excellent. All of my students really liked the techniques.
At the last "Rage in the Cage" show here in Phoenix,
my guys went 4-1. I don't know which pleased me more,
the fact that they all did so well or that several of them
pulled off moves from tape 2 that I had only just showed
them the week before."
Bill Cameron

"I never wrestled in grade school, high school, or college. I don't
know all
the pins and fancy takedowns one
learns over the years. However, thanks to Matt Furey, I am able to
handle
guys that have
wrestled collegiately. I tried other grappling styles over the years,
but
there
was always a lack of balance. One style was mostly on the feet, and
the
other
mostly on the ground. Matt is emphatic about being able to fight on
your
feet
AND on the ground. I now feel as comfortable standing up as I do
rolling
around on the mat. As a State Trooper, I find the techniques shown in
the
Farmer Burns course, and all his other tapes, to be of immense value in
my
quest to stay one up on the bad guys. If your job requires you to go
in
harm's
way, or even if it doesn't, you would be well served to learn what Matt
has
to
teach. It may save your life."

"Hey Matt,
I received my first two lessons from the Farmer Burns Video Course and am very pleased with the product. Awesome stuff! I like the way that it's set up, giving just the right amount of information to work on for the first 6 weeks. The concepts and techniques are exactly what you say they are: priceless. These videos kick ass! I'm more than happy that I "signed up" for the course.
Also, while anxiously waiting for the Farmer's Video course I decided to break out the Street Grappling tapes and watch them for the 400th time. (slight exaggeration) I almost forgot how good those tapes are! I own quite a few tapes from a lot of the "big names" out there, and viewed them all with various wrestlers, judokas, and military elite. But when we've watched your tapes, they've all made comments like "Where did you get THIS set from?", "This is awesome", "That's what I want to learn!", and "Shut this tape off, put in those street grappling ones again". Just thought you might want to know this. Now that the Farmer's Video Course is receiving all the attention, I didn't want the Street Grappling tapes to feel left out!"

"Matt Furey is definitely the "Surgeon of Submission." What he teaches
you
won't find anywhere else. I weigh 340 pounds and squat 900. Matt is the
only
guy who ever took me down with a leg attack. What he did after that was
brutal."

"I've got black belts in jiu-jitsu, kenpo, and aikido, and a few of the
moves on the Street Grappling tapes were familiar, but the majority of
them were not and ALL of them were truly useful. These tapes
need to be in everyone's library! I know, I know; in the endorsements
on the back of everything these days those words are used more than any other, but they are for real on these. If I could only have 5 martial arts training tapes to my name this set would be among those 5."

"Matt, If you have ever read the book raving
fans by Ken Blanchard then you'll know you have one. I got the 1st two
tapes of the Farmer Burns series ... great stuff. I am not a NHB
fighter, not a fomer great collegegiate wrestler ... just a 42 year old guy who got back into judo after 20 years and just loves grappling for grappling sake. I have your "Street Grappling" series, the exercise tapes, the "How to Hook a Heavyweight" tape, your book and Farmer Burns' book, and a power wheel. Every penny well spent. The Farmer Burns tape was worth the half nelson submission alone. Thanks again for putting out quality stuff and having a no bullshit attitude."

"I've been involved in martial arts for more than 35 years and what
Matt
Furey has to teach will open your eyes and make you realize that there
is a
world of information inside of him that most people have no idea about.
I
recommend all of Matt's products because they've made a big difference
in my
training."

"Matt,
I watched the 1st two installments of the Farmer Burns Videos and you have outdone yourself. These are fantastic. The Lesson 1 tape was a workout unto Itself. (I got up and did the tape this morning) I really liked the fact that you took the time to explain the program before you got started. the deep breathing actually woke me up and had me sweating before the 'physical' exercises began.
"Now Tape 2 was the Bomb! I'll bet that 'Muhammad Stud' was very sore that night. I have no doubt that just the techniques shown just in tape 2 will result in a lot of pain for my training partners. I cannot wait for the rest of the series. My partners may not be speaking to me when this is finished, though. :-) Keep it up, Matt. I'm sure 'The Farmer' would be pleased."

"Fabulous. Now the classic teachings of Martin 'Farmer' Burns are available in
modern video format. It's all here, the warmups, the setups, the holds, the
escapes. There has never been anything like this before. A must have for any
serious grappler."
Dave Woynarowski, M.D.

"Got the first of the FB course. I want to compliment you on it, it's really great. I've got 'training' tapes from other people that are full of fluff and little of substance. I can hardly wait to try the nelson series in my classes. Or for that matter any of the things in the first tape. I may get my brother to help me out on taping sessions at my house to send you."

"I am very happy with the Farmer Burns material. It is everything you said it would be in your weekly newsletter. Re: the deep breathing exercises: I've had some formal training in Chi Kung, and it was pretty cool to note that the sounds you made during the breathing exercises resembled both the 'ujjiyai' breathing technique from hatha yoga and the 'hehn/hah'
vibrations that some Chi Kung adepts add to their sequences (only most Chi Kung types aren't audible when they do it). There really is nothing new under the sun, and it appears that the yogis and Shaolin monks didn't have a monopoly on health secrets. Best of luck with your ongoing endeavors...."

"The thing that gets me is how simple and totally ass kicking these
techniques are. After viewing the previous tapes I think to myself, "Now why didn't I think of that?" or "Damn that works." And the thing about it is almost nobody in today's grappling world sees these techniques coming. Again, thanks for putting yours and Karl Gotch's style of catchascatchcan on film and preserving it for those of us who want to learn."

"Dear Mr. Furey,
I received your video tapes about 10 days ago and played them over and
over and every time I was telling myself what difference it makes when the technique is right. It was after viewing your tape that I finally made a guy tap from a chancery and managed to lift an opponent from a double leg. The hammerlock was also great and my partner really felt it. You really blew my mind as how effective these techniques are when you know how to do them the right way."

"Matt,
Any serious student of the grappling arts has got to get the Farmer Burns course. It has improved my submission skills 100 percent. I used the shoulder lock yesterday on one of our senior jujitsu black belts ... it was great when I pulled his arm in. He rolled a little toward me, then when I sat out and locked him he was like....what the hell was that !!! Thanks for teaching these techniques and strategies."

"Hello Matt Furey,
This is Timothy Favreau again. I just wanted you to know how great the 'Farmer Burns' series is. I used to take a judo class here in Cheyenne Wyoming because I wanted to learn a grappling art. I really had no idea what was out there at the time i just thought it was all freestyle wrerstling and judo and brazilian jujitsu. I really wasn't getting what i wanted out of judo it seemed all we did was practive throws. I know this is important to my grappling but we just didn't wrestle at all! After searching the internet a long couple of months I stumbled on to your web site. At the time you didn't offer the course but I liked what you had to say. Being in the the military I like a straight forward, no nonsense approach that you have when giving advice. When you offered the Farmer Burns course I snatched it up. I am only 4 tapes in to the series but my grappling has ex! ploded!! My buddy who works with me challenged me to a grappling match and I put him into the 3/4 neslon, put him on his back and necked cranked him!! He tapped and yelled!! He weighs about 225 and I only weigh 155 soaking wet!! The tapes and conditioning advice has given me a new found confidence in my self! Keep up the excellent work and I will always be a loyal customer!!
Thanks,"

"Dear Matt,
As you know, my wife gave me your Farmer Burns course for Christmas. I was bummed that those tapes existed and I did not have them. Earlier on I had hurt my left knee and this was very depressing. My grappling was stale and I was working way too hard to beat guys I shouldn't have that much trouble handling. I needed a shot of inspiration and some straight forward technique. You would think after buying so many of your products, attending your seminars and training with you in Tampa, it would be hard to still surprise me. Five minutes into the "first" tape, I am taking notes and rewinding it, laughing at every important detail I was missing. My wife was witnessing all this and commented that she is glad I am enjoying the "Farmer Burns" tapes when I told her that I have not gotten past the first tape yet because it was so damn good. This course is amazing and I am dedicating myself to using these tapes to redefine my grappling. Every investment in a Matt Furey product is worth every cent. How many things can you say that about in life?"

"Dear Matt ,
last night I received my first package of the Farmer Burns Video Course. I must say I was most impressed with the books, which I read last night and this morning. About an hour ago I popped in the first tape (breathing and calisthenics) and watched it through. Again, I was very impressed, both with the content and the presentation. I'll be watching it again tonight to get a better feel for the exercises and to take notes, and then it will be time to get started. In Australia, I was a student at a Chinese boxing academy for six years, now I live in Japan, working as an English teacher. I've seen a few things over the years, and in my opinion, nothing has matched the fitness program (or the technique curriculum) from my old school, until now. The materials presented in your course are excellent, and will, I feel, help me to realize my potential, when combined with the curriculum I had previously followed. Again, a most deserving thankyou to you for making these materials available.
Yours sincerely,"

"Dear Matt ,
All i can say is WOW! I'm getting towards the end of your farmer burns series of tapes and i'm stuck for words. The amount of info on these tapes is massive! If i watch them for the next five years i think i'll still be missing details off them in my training, saying that, i can't wait to see what installments eleven and tweleve have in store! Thank you for
making this incredible information available, the tapes are worth their weight in gold! For all those people who might think they are expensive, they really don't know what theyre missing. Thanks again Matt,
sincerly."

"P.S. Little Frank might be the luckiest little wrestler in the having you as his old man, cheers Matt."
"Dear Matt:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for the quality of this course. Each tape seems better than the next (and that's really saying something). I haven't come across any "fluff" just pure no-nonsense technical wizardry. Unlike, all the other hyped-up garbage-filled tapes floating around the market, yours are the only ones with techniques and exercises which have helped me prevail consistently against much larger, stronger and heavier training partners. Technique + conditioning is most certainly king! Looking forward as always to my next installment."

Famous Old-Timers Who Praised Farmer Burns
"I take off my hat to the grand Farmer Burns. No one ever saw another such
wrestler, for there ARE NONE. On the mat he is quicker than lightning,
stronger than a bull, and slyer than a fox. I'll bet all my ponies he can
whip any prize fighter on earth. I'm glad to call him my friend for he is a
true sportsman and a gentleman - as square as they make them."

"I became a worlds champion BECAUSE my staunch friend and teacher "the old
Farmer" MADE ME CHAMPION. I was an ordinary farm boy, strong and healthy.
From this Farmer Burns developed me so that I defeated all the great
wrestlers of the world."
Frank A. Gotch
World Champion Wrestler
"Farmer Burns assisted in training me. He is the man I listened to for HE
KNOWS HOW TO TRAIN. He ought to. It's his specialty. He has devoted his life
to it. He made Gotch and many other Champions."
Jim Jeffries
World Heavyweight Boxing Champion
"Farmer Burns was the best there was and is still way ahead of what we see
today. He could beat you wrestling or in an all-out street fight. It made no
difference. At Jim Jeffries camp, he got into an argument with Billy Papke,
one of the top professional boxers of the day. They decided to settle it
with a no-holds-barred fight. Within moments Burns had Papke on the ground
begging for mercy. Burns was 50 at the time."
